The Museum offers the exhibition of the Okhta source history from the
early 14th century to now. Up to quite a recent time this history has
become unknown. The exhibition displays the history of the
peninsula - the settlement center in the source of the Neva river before
the Peter the Great and area of many important events in the history of
St. Petersburg, Russia and Europe. The history of the
territory went deep to 400-year before the foundation of St. Petersburg.
Landskrona, Korabelnitsa, Nevskoye Ustye, Nyenskans, Shlotburg are only
some names of Russian and Sweden settlements located there at different
times. At this particular place there was a famous Okhtinsky shipyard, a
home for boats which glorified the Russian fleet. A well-known frigate
Pallada sailing round the world from Kronshtadt to Japan was launched
there The exhibition included archeological finds and historical
sources highlighting the Nevskoye Ustye history, the past of the
fortresses Landskrona and Nyenskans. Our Museum is proud of the unique
nature due to its theme ( it is the only presentation of the history of
St. Petersburg before the Peter the Great period) and location (in the
