Historical club of Museum “700 years - Landscrona, Nevskoye estuary, Nienshants”.

It is common knowledge that raising younger generation imbued with patriotism is the only chance for us to provide stable and prosperous future. That is why the Landskrona, Nevskoye Ustye and Nyenskans 700 Museum opened the Children’s Historical Club.

Place - premises of the Museum, 2, Krasnogvardeiskaya ploschad.
Period - academic year 2004-2005.
September - May (10 months).

The Club is aimed at:

• providing with initial data about the history of Nevsky land;
  
• exciting children’s interest to the history and archeology;
  
• teaching to use the obtained knowledge working over creative tasks;
  
• stimulate children’s creative potential.

1. Ludmila Sycheva, senior research assistant of the State Museum for History of St. Petersburg (Petropavlovka)
   
2. There are two groups, classes are conducted twice a month
   
3. 11-13 year children (pupils of 5-7th classes) are kindly welcome
   
4. Groups of 10-15 persons
   
5. Classes are conducted at the time most convenient for children (from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.)
   
6. The club expects to conduct trips to get acquainted with historical sites of the northwest of Russia.
   
7. We use film strips, video films, slides and other materials.
   
8. The Club is supposed to participate in the archaeological sites in Staraya Ladoga headed by the leading archeologists of St. Petersburg.
