The plot of land formerly occupied – according to seventeenth and eighteenth century maps – by the fortress of Nyenskans and the Swedish town of Nyen is now owned by a company that is part of the Okhta Group holding (OAO Nevaland). The District 700 business and shopping center is under construction on this site. Two business centers, Pallada and Askold, are already in operation. The company is currently coordinating the Integrated development of the other site.

In the course of District 700 implementation the company always focused on event-packed history of the land. Dmitry Kiselev, Vice Chairman of the Management Board of OOO Okhta Group, approved the initiative of the historians to found a museum devoted to the prehistory of St. Petersburg. Thanks to his support the Holding agreed not only to finance the project but helped to implement it by supplying apartment in Askold business centre, participated in preparing all exhibits.

Priority business area for Okhta Group can be determined as investments. Company assets exceed 50 000 000 Euro. Key business activities include working out and implementation of own investment projects and programs on commercial real estate market together with rendering services to accompany investment activities.
