VELIKY VOGUL Vitaly Okun (Udmurtia) painting, graphic arts, sculpture March 14 – April 5, 2006 You are welcome to the exhibition of Vitaly Okun’s works “Veliky Vogul” which is to take place in the Museum “700 Years - Landskrona, Nevskoye Ustye, Nyenskans”.
Mysterious figures in the fantastic plots conveyed in lithography and water colors, bright colors of painting associated with a pagan festival, ornamented leatherlooking like ancient maps, sculptura; collage, sculpture collage do not mean the reconstruction of drawings and ornaments but author’s interpretation of the Finno-Ugric culture in the modern arts. Nowadays such synthesis which is called “ethnic fusion” is among the most popular trends! As usual, exhibition opening is going to turn into a remarkable holiday. We’d like to see all friends of our museum, officials of the Administrations of St.Petersburg and Krasnogvardeisky district, employees of the Consulates of Finland and Sweden, etc. are among them.
